From Lewis:
I would want add informally that if someone just likes a Big Ten school or wants to hang out and pays and brings something that's ok. I have met many people at casual parties that just want to hang or have friends there. Or want to network. I have seen about 200 or so but the party lasts a long time. - Lewis

ASH Member on the Hike for Discovery at Yosemite for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (note from Denise Taggert)
Hi!
I am raising funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society by hiking Yosemite as a participant in their Hike For Discovery campaign, and I'm asking you to help by making a contribution. Each donation helps accelerate cures for leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma.
In addition to helping more than 712,000 Americans battling these blood cancers, the research from these cancers is usually the frontline for treatments for the other cancers. Having lost my stepfather to prostate cancer, and my stepbrother to melanoma (along with my mother's survival of ovarian cancer), I am hoping that my participation in Hike For Discovery will help bring all cancer patients hope and support.
My minimum goal is $4700. If 50 people donate $100, or 100 people donate $50, I'm there! Of course, donations of $25 or even $10 will help get me there, too! I will be hiking 8-9 hours, so I will be putting in a full day's work for your support--such a deal!
Please use the link in this email to donate online quickly and securely. You will receive a confirmation by email of your donation and I will be notified as soon as you make your donation.
On behalf of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, thank you very much for your support. I really appreciate your generosity!
You can learn more about my efforts and make a donation by visiting the following Web site:

Thanks,
Denise
P.S. Please forward this email to as many people as you can to encourage them to donate as well!
